Artigiano del ferro battuto, fotografo e padre di sei figli, Alain Laboile ha iniziato un album di famiglia nel 2007, all’età di 39 anni. La sua raccolta “La Famille” era, inizialmente, un tesoro privato. Nel dicembre del 2012 il suo talento è stato celebrato dal New York Times che ha pubblicato le sue fotografie. Da allora è stato esposto in Giappone, negli Stati Uniti, in Olanda, in Argentina e in Francia. Il grande fotografo americano Jock Sturges lo decreta tra i migliori fotografi viventi. Oggi le fotografie di Alain Laboile hanno una loro collocazione nella tradizione storica della fotografia familiare e, dal 2014, fanno parte della collezione permanente di diversi musei in Francia. Il progetto “La Famille” é stato poi esposto a livello mondiale e, recentemente, pubblicato da Kehrer Verlag.

 Wrought iron craftsman, photographer and father of six, Alain Laboile started a family album in 2007, at the age of 39. His collection “La Famille” was, at first, a private treasure. In December 2012, his talent was celebrated by the New York Times, which published his photographs. Since then he has been exhibited in Japan, the United States, Holland, Argentina and France. The great American photographer Jock Sturges decreed him among the best living photographers. Today, Alain Laboile’s photographs have their place in the historical tradition of family photography and, since 2014, have been part of the permanent collection of several museums in France. The project “La Famille” has since been exhibited worldwide and, recently, published by Kehrer Verlag.
